Answer

The value of a car accident case depends on a number of factors. Very often one of the key factors is the amount of the damage to the vehicle. If the vehicle is totaled or involved in a rollover or a roof crush, it is far more likely to be able to make a solid monetary recovery than if there is only minor damage to the car. It is often not possible to know in the weeks or months immediately following a car accident how much the case will ultimately be worth. It is usually necessary to wait until the conclusion of medical treatment and the injured person has fully recovered to get a full picture of the case’s value. Medical bills and insurance payments must also be obtained (sometimes by subpoena), as well as documents setting forth the amounts of lost wages.
